Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information through our authentication provider (Clerk). This is used solely for account management and authentication.

Photos and Content

Photos uploaded to Merry Moments are stored temporarily on our servers for a maximum of 72 hours. After this period, all photos are permanently and automatically deleted. We do not retain copies, backups, or archives of your photos.

Usage Data

We collect minimal usage data including IP addresses (for rate limiting and abuse prevention), session identifiers, and basic analytics through Cloudflare. This data is used to operate and improve the service.

Data Retention

Photos: Automatically deleted 72 hours after the moment is created. No exceptions.

Account data: Retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time.

Usage logs: Retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our service (e.g., Cloudflare for hosting, Clerk for authentication). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and only process data as directed by us.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and Content Security Policy headers. Photos are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 with access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use Cloudflare analytics which may set cookies for performance monitoring. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children's Privacy

Merry Moments is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
